Born, raised and schooled in Manutuke.
Spent learning time with my Pakeha and Māori grandmothers.
Attended TeAute College in HB.
1960 One year as a Forestry Technical cadet Rotorua.
Shearing contractor, married Molly, 4 children, farming for next 30 years.
1988 Original Trustee setting up TROTAK. Rep for Māori Fisheries settlement.
Also helped set up RCT, chair. Manutuke Postal Centre returned, first office.
Filed Treaty of Waitangi claim for Rongowhakaata. Became Lead negotiator.
Signed settlement offer 2011.Trustee of RST, RIT representing Ohako.
Trustee of Ohako. Wrote 4 books to fill in retirement. Honoured by Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi in 2023. A Honorary Doctorate. For a lifelong dedication in maintaining and enhancing Matauranga Māori of Rongowhakaata, and for services to Iwi, hapu, whānau and the many lands maintained as a custodian for the people.
