Whānau Ora - Youth Services
Whānau Ora Youth Services advocates for promoting pro-social and crime-free attitudes in youths, building resilience in both youths and their families. Additionally, there's a need to invest in future opportunities and encourage positive choices for young people, thus enabling and empowering them to have a voice and exercise their rights while achieving desirable outcomes for themselves and their families.
We provide a range of services catered to help rangatahi
To help build the resilience and achieve positive outcomes for our young people and their families we offer a wide range of services that support them through different areas of concern. Here are some of the services we provide.
Fresh Start Youth Justice Programmes
Our Tu Ake Rangatahi Section Youth Justice Programs operate based on Oranga Tamariki referrals. Our Intervention and Prevention intensive programs include Supported Bail, Social Work with Supervision, and Youth Development initiatives. These programs aim to prevent youth who are on remand from violating their bail conditions or re-offending, while also striving to reduce overall levels of offending
